Saw paed reg last friday who advised to recommence domperidone with the zantac, so started using that night. After reading loads of posts on little refluxers I started to alternate the zantac and domperidone istead of giving them in the same feed. I realised by the end of the day that Megan hadn't been crying in pain with her reflux and she had pood twice when usually only once a day or alternate days.
I didn't realise at 1st what i'd done differently for Megan to be comfortable and then it clicked; i've carried on alternating the doses and Megan is almost back to her pre reflux self.
It's so good seeing her happy smiley face again, she still has periods of discomfort but not the endless screaming that she used to do. Im annoyed that the paed didnt mention anything about the timing of doses but glad i figured a way that works for Megan, the colic calm i was recomended has arrived today so i'm hoping for even more of an improvement. Fingers crossed!
On Christmas eve I cut out the gaviscon which was causing constipation and by boxing day Megan was like a different baby and weve never looked back, happy happy sicky days lol
I can cope with puke but not a miserable baby :))
