Day 1 with new medication

Well its just over 24 hours since we started using the Infant Gaviscon and Carobel and I have to admit there is an improvement already. He's been on Ranitidine for 3 weeks which stopped the acid pain and screaming and turned him into a happy little baby for the first time since he was born.

After feeds now he has a little sick which comes up with wind, and maybe a couple of more sicky ups with more wind shortly after but thats it! Its wonderful.

Before the wonder of medication he would vomit between 20-30 times a day. He wore 2 bibs constantly and were changed at least twice an hour. He hardly ever wore nice clothes as it was a pain changing him all the time and practically lived in baby grows. Family were wary of holding him incase he was sick on them, it was a shame.

The being sick never bothered him, he just smiled through it, it was the acid pain that he hated and so did we. Many times during his screaming Ive cried along with him as there was nothing I could do.

It still annoys me that it took so long to get Drs to listen, I mean a trip to A&E is pretty drastic but I just needed to get someone to listen. I am so glad I went to the A&E that day and got reffered to a Paed, who actually listened to me.
