My baby girl is 11 weeks on Sunday and was diagnosed with reflux at around 5 weeks old she just all of a sudden started to vomit one day which started off as about half a bottle, then a whole bottle and then progressed to every bottle. She started her little life with quite a traumatic birth whereby she had shoulder dystocia and they had to pull her out by her arm which luckily was ok how i did not have stitches i will never know as she was quite a big baby at 9.8lbs (she was also my 4th…

Hi.
Our company Snugglebundl has just launched a new product called the bundl which is the world's first baby-lifting blanket. It was designed for parents/carers who had restricted movement when lifting/laying down your baby. We have been made aware of the issue of reflux with babies and it has been suggested that the Bundl may be an excellent help with coping with lifting/laying down/moving infants with reflux as it works in such a way that it gently lifts and lays the baby and is a…

Hello
I have a little boy who is now 4 1/2 months old and was diag with silent reflux at 8 weeks. He used to hold his breath while feeding. He was put on meds and did a lot better and then at 12 weeks he started stopping breathing, we know because we have one of the monitors with a pad that goes off after 20 seconds (he holds his breath for up to 55 seconds) during the night. We were also told that, that was reflux related so his meds were upped. We were advised to…

Hi there!!
I am new to this site, its a shame i never found it before now! My son is 2 in July and was diagnosed with G.O.R.D at 6 months old. This was only after fighting and arguing with doctors that he was not suffering with colic, i knew this because i already had a 7 year old when thomas was born and know what colic is like from when he was little.
It took me taking him to a&e in another hospital for him to be finally diagnosed. By then he had been suffering for 6…

Seeing a children’s gastroenterologist and being prescribed the antacid Omeprazole led to a breakthrough in baby Jack’s reflux.
It’s 8pm, after a full day as a Mum of two. I’m typing this article on the lap top, sipping a glass of red wine. My two sons are curled up in their cots.
Just weeks ago, it was a different story. I was trying in vain to comfort my five-month old baby, Jack, who was vomiting, red-faced and screaming.…

The gaviscon is a god-send literally - it has helped no end with my LO and his sickness is no way near as bad, he is still bringing up milk but not as bad now. The one thing that has not disappeared completely is the pain for him =. We still have to keep him upright after feeding, and even after 45 mins - 1 hr he can still be really fussy when you try and lie him down. Night time is a SERIOUS issue. Because he is so grizzly he really wont go down in his cot. I am lucky if I can get him to…

Saw paed reg last friday who advised to recommence domperidone with the zantac, so started using that night. After reading loads of posts on little refluxers I started to alternate the zantac and domperidone istead of giving them in the same feed. I realised by the end of the day that Megan hadn't been crying in pain with her reflux and she had pood twice when usually only once a day or alternate days.
I didn't realise at 1st what i'd done differently for Megan to be comfortable and…

Hiya all
This is juat a quicke as Reuben sounds like he's just waking up. Briefly, my DS Rohan was born oct 2007 with silent reflux and CMPI, we went through 2 years of hell but im proud to say that he's come through the other side and doing really well, albeit a few food issues/ENT probs. My second DS, Reuben was born this May. we had 3 days of a blissfull average newborn,......then the noises and straining noises started. Yes, reflux with CMPI, we love him dearly but it was such a…
