Ruth, it doesn't make you look bad at all. It must be very difficult having suffered a miserable pregnancy too. You must have looked forward to having a lovely time with Leighton. It will get better.

Hi ruth, just before i go to bed just read some of your posts. So sorry to hear that you're struggling after such a horrid pregnancy. Not that it will make you feel any better but i can honestly say that i understand completely. I had hyperemesis for all 39 weeks of my preg with SPD to add to it (followed by horrific birth). i spent most of the time in bed or hospital. It's such a blow to then have to cope with a baby that needs extra love and attention. I feel guilty sometimes for feeling sorry for myself and hard done by, its a completely natrual thought process when you are feeling desperate.
I still cry alot, but not every day now so things have got better and they will for you. Make sure to ask for help if its offered, i felt i had to cope with this on my own but there is help out there like this site and other people once they listen to you.
I went through a stage of feeling 'robbed' of a 'normal' newborn experience because of the reflux and my illness. But now i can honestly say that it's been tough and still is some days but it has made me love my son more than i thought possbile, im so proud of him Hang on in there, im here to listen if you want to chat. night night
