PH TEST ???

Hi again all......well after Monday the pead wants to do a ph on Harrison b,coz his reflux is getting worse,has anyone's child had this done. We are sooooo worried b,coz it means a GA......His now also been put on losec caps which we have to break open to put into a spoon of yogurt, which his not eating.His now not eating nothing at all, just plenty of water.We have ask to go back on liquid form which we feel is better for Harrison.any advise on ph and cap form of Omp/losec.ThanksNikkixxSee More

SUCRALFATE ????

Hi,Can anyone pls help me, Harrison saw his consultant today and has been increased to 20mgOmp and now put on SUCRALFATE ???She advised us it was to help coat his tummy but when ive looked it up its for "ULCERS"Pls can someone help me with this as im just soooo worried.He has follow up in 4wks if no improvement got to have ph done and camera. :(Pls can someone help us!!!thankyouNikkixxSee More

Cough and REFLUX ????

Hiya everyone, havent been on for a while., hope all ok as can be.

Harrison is doing so well. He was 1 yr old 28/10 and Reflux is soooooo much better.

His medication has been reduced to omp only , no donperidone anymore and yes we can see the light at the end of the big long tunel!!!

Just a quick question for any Mummys, Harrison has developed this chesty cough for about 5 wks now..........Dr first thought it was virus untill took him back today after 3 wks and now his blaming his "REFLUX" Im just in shock as when his Reflux was at its worst he never had this cough??????
His been sooo settled for the past 4 months , i just cant come to terms with it being the Reflux again.
Dr said its defo the Reflux sliding up and down??

Anyone have any advise.

How long will it last!!!

Hi everyone, been quite a while for us now that Harrison's reflux has been sort of under control, Untill now!!!!.........His.coughing all the time .

Yes after all this time his 22 month old now and we thought it would all be gone by now!!!.

Sleeping is becoming a prob again....up crying alot in the night.

Also can any of you Mums out there hear their babies belly's moaning and gurgling when they are unsettled. This is soooo upsetting for us!!

Does Neocate make them more unsettled at first.?

Hello Ladies,
Harrison is now on the Neocate milk but seems quite unsettled on it, his drinking the milk very well but has started being sick alot more!!! . Dont know if we have done the right thing!!!!

He also wants to feed every 2 - 3 hrs 6 - 7ozs , . Not sure why his so much more hungry as it has the same kals as other formuals 70 kals.

VERY CONFUSED!!!

REFLUX IS GETTING WORSE IN THE EVENING.

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if you have any advise for me pls. Harrison 15 wks now is getting a bit better in the day time now but as evening draws near his reflux gets very bad. Also he has a floppy larynx which is getting louder.

When he was first diagnosed it was the other way round, all day crying in pain and night times he would settle.

Why do you think this is?

Our Dr has advised the Neocate milk which we are still a bit unsure if to change him…

My baby is 8 months now, still on meds (domperidome and losec tabs). He is getting better (touch wood) and we are 70% there. His ped'tion is great, lovely lady and very supportive to me, she said to give him his ffod b4 milk, this has helped, mind u my son wasn't a big milk drinker ne way so the change has been very easy for me.

My son still has his moments of pain, but the plan is to bring the dossage of med down when hes 1yrs, at the moment if i feel symtoms are getting bad, we just take him to the ped'tion, she weighs him and ups the dossage of meds. Shes kept him on a low dose as she thinks he will grow out of it.

G.P's so need to be edu'ted about the condition, they have no clue, or sympathy!!!

Did ur older boys have it? I hope hes well soon.x
