"There is a whole range to reflux though and you'll probably find some days/weeks/months better than others. Surgery is a major last resort and there's LOADS they can do beforehand. Don;t worry! Your son has you looking after him and…"

Hi
Found this site by googling. My son has silent reflux; although im stilll fighting Doctors to get it confirmed; they insist reflux causes sickness and weight loss. Feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall. They have now agreed to observe him over a few weeks; he has infant gaviscon and rentidine. Already seems easier for him only 48 hours on it. I have another child Bronwyn whose 3.

Hi
I found about this through a friend who lives 3 doors awawy and her son is only 3 weeks older than mine. I will see Doc tor again next week butif I am still not happy I am going to be asked to be refered to a paed. He is calmer but people seem to think now hell just complete a course of meds and be better. I feel I am constantly saying NO it is being managed and hopefully he will grow out of it. Biy I have read of diagnois not being given soon enough and words like surgery, scarring throat tissue!!!!!! bit scary.

Hope you are doing well.
