Hi I would try dr eltumi ( google him). Is a general paed who specialises in gastro but if reflux involved then I would try him. If he isn't the right person I'm sure he'd point you in the right direction .Good luck xxx

Poor love ((((((((())))))))) Personly i would go back to the GP and demand a referal to ENT simply because of the reacuring infection Failing that see you HV Sorry i cant be of any help xx

Help, Can anyone recommend an ENT specialist, reflux and recurring ear infections??

HiI was hoping someone could offer me some advice, my daughter is 9 months old and suffered from silent reflux since she was born, and also diagnosed with eosophilinic disorder. She keeps getting ear infections, and i feel that the reflux is now under control but the ear infections are her main problem now. When she has anti biotics she gets better for a few days, and we have a totally different baby, just so happy and content, then she goes back to her old ways, screaming, clingy, wont drink…See More

HiWas just wondering if anyone had private medical insurance that covers existing conditions, or did you find they wouldnt cover because of the reflux existing that the doctors are aware of?Trying to find ways of continuing private, instead of nhs, but cant afford costs. Shes been really miserable for the last two days im so worn out. i went back to see the doctor on monday which was a complete waste of time, she said that ive just got to wait for her to grow out of it. I was so angry but just too tired and fed up to argue my case yet again. And the funny thing is she said her little girl had reflux!Im seeing private doctor next wednesday so fingers crossed he'll have some answers. How did you get on at the hospital, did they change the milk to Nutramigen? Hope they were of some help up there? I would say the black seeds are the Omeprazole, i was using the dissolvable stuff and when it was left in the syring it would form into black seeds so i would try not to worry about that too much. I give it to her in the morning, hoping that it will be in her system for the day.
Let me know how you are getting on, my fingers are crossed that you have had a good couple of days.

Went thursday they have doubled omperazole to 7mls said i can increase domperidone to 1.7 mls x 3 a day and use a double sachet of gaviscon in each bottle instead of one and to try the nutramigen. What a nightmare she hates the milk it stinks! How is your lo getting on with it? Were down to 2 oz every 2 to 3 hours and it takes the full hour. Last night she screamed for 6 hours with only a 20 minute nap. Im at my wits end. So you are going private now? can you tell me who and where because i dont feel like im being taken seriously.Im also going to attempt to wean but to be honest i am scared of the food coming out her nose and choking her.Reflux is absolutely horrendous people dont understand what a nightmare it is. Have you had any improvements yet? lexie is the same she will take a bottle fine in the night and keep it down.She has brought up the omeprazole loads this week so i dont really stand a chance. I lost count at 30 sicks on sunday! Have you got any other kids? I have a 23 month old and a 4 year old i feel so bad i spend no time with either if them.xx
