I agree with Clare. We spread ours out through the day but aim to do it about 1/2 hr before a feed when possible. We only give omeprazole in the morning but try and leave a gap then before feeding her.
I am so happy everything has settled down now. It must be great to be meds-free. You were a comfort to me way back when so wish you all the very best. By the way are you still broody?!
You poor thing! Can you ask to see another paediatrician at the same hospital? Her attitude is shocking. I hope the Neocate works for you - it took about 4 weeks for us to see a difference. If she doesn't like the taste (It's completely hideous) the…
I think it is an hereditary thing to some degree. I was a very sicky baby and my husband's father has bad reflux now which he has medication for. Both of my girls have or have had reflux although the first was a lot milder than our second. They were…
We tried going back onto Aptimil at one point when she was on Nutramigen as we were so desperate. SHe took it readily for a day or two but then the pain must have kicked in and she totally refused milk. I had to feed her in her sleep. That's when we…
I could have almost written that post myself. Josie has had reflux since birth and we finally started to get her vaguely sorted at 4 months when she went onto Neocate. We had tried Nutramigen for 6 weeks before that to no avail. She would hardly dri…
I have the losec mups which I grind up and put in water. I give it to her in a syringe first thing in the morning. I don't know about the liquid omeprazole. I would have thought yuou probably have to keep it in the fridge. Doesn't it have to be used…
I haven't noticed that reflux has slowed Josie's development. She is doing everything at pretty much the same rate as her sister. She is nearly 9 months and has pulled herself up today for the first time. For such a tiny thing she is very strong and…
could it be teething hun - our LO has reoccurance of reflux (although not quite as bad) at the moment as she is teething and that increases the amount of acid in the salivia (hence the sore bottoms etc) and is know to make reflux worse
Dont be horrified by it, it easier than you think, (I thought the same she would starve), once you get to the route of the problem, ie: wheat/gluten/dairy/soya (there are loads), what ever, the health food shops and some supermarkets do great ranges…
When she had been weaned for a while she dropped from 5 feeds to 3 in a day. She dropped the 11.30 a.m feed as it was relaced by lunch and she totally refused the 10 p.m dream feed for a few days so I had to give up. So it has been difficult to get…
She is on a completely dairy free diet at the moment and I haven't really introduced soya either because I am not entirely convinced that this agrees with her. She has soya yoghurt sometimes but usually not keen. She is being tested for wheat allerg…
HI, its me Raine, I cant see anything to give me a clue as to how to email you directly and I feel uncomfortable posting this ladys details openly. I will keep looking and will stay in touch via that discussion page otherwise.
