Hi!

I'm a first time mum to baby Lucie who was born a week late in September. She is now nearly 7 weeks old. I noticed there was some problem when she was about 3 weeks old but was told, as most of you seem to have been, that she had bad wind and colic. So on the Infacol she went... A week later the HV watched me feed her and noticed she was still being sick (which made her cry) over an hour after her feed. She recommended we go to the GP.

I think we are lucky our GP is so…

Hi Sarah nice to hear from you. How old is Lucie now and when did it start for her. Glad she is a bit more settled now. Were you waiting long for your ref and now the scan ?. Some days not as bad & I think its improving but like this eve he is so tired from cat napping after sqirming and arching his back and groaning , fluid has come up and now he has dozed off. As you prob read he is in my room and am worried when I do put him in his own room that he will be awake doing all of this and I cant go to sleep and ignore it. Im def buying a wedge and the side positoner as Ive read their left side is comfortable for them. Onlty time will tell. Im hoping that I wont have to wait too long for our app. Is Lucie your 1st child ?.
Keep in touch Gail x

Hi, you have done so well to get seen and acknowledged so quickly. It brings tears to my eyes every time i read peoples stories as I too have found the whole reflux so distressing for both baby and the family too. I have a 7 week old girl who has been on meds for a few weeks but we saw consultant on Saturday and he said 40% of babies with refluxalso have dairy intolerance, so i have been on dairy free diet since and already seen a huge improvement. Might be worth a try. Laurens symtoms improved on max dose of meds but now i feel she is becoming even more settled.

Hi Sarah, I noticed your conversation with Michelle about going dairy free - my youngest has reflux and is dairy allergic too - it is really hard going completely dairy free as you have to avoid all sources (e.g whey powder and milk powders in biscuits, cereals etc) but it was really worth it and my son improved quite a bit and I'm still breastfeeding him. You do get used to the diet once you find enough foods you can eat. If you wanted any info I'd be more than willing....

good look and I hope things get better for you.
