Tips for prepackaged baby food?

Hi allmy 7 month lr has taken to weaning brilliantly but as well as cmpi we are also discovering other possible intolerances as we go- soya, wheat, onions... Whilst I am able to prepare all her food it's easy to manage but we are off to France on holiday and I really need some meals to take for her for the journey and before we go shopping plus ideally I'd like to have a bit of a break from cooking! All the ellas kitchen and plum pouches i've looked at seem to contain at least one thing she…See More

"We've always given water with meals. The only reason I can think of not to is that the liquid consistency is more likely to reflux (like thinner/less viscous milks), but they need water when they start solids and start to drop their milk feeds…"

"I've always given Finley a little bit of water with his meals just to wash it down. I hadnt heard of it being a no no? He only has a few sips so think that would be ok rather than guzzling lots of water down "

"Hi, my LO also reacted to baby rice at 17 weeks (not sure how old your LO is).  We came off it and found that he was fine with the plum 4 grain rice - probably because he could tolerate a smaller amount of rice but not lots. He is now 7 months…"

"I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if my LO is reacting to rice in my diet too. As far as I'm aware any food can produce reactions, so it could well be! At the moment I'm just giving melon or pear for breakfast :)"

Reacting to baby rice?

HiI've just started weaning my little one and she just can't get enough- I'm struggling to go slow enough but I think that baby rice may not agree with her. I gave her some at tea time with a little nutramigen aa and pear and at 10pm she had one of the worse reflux episodes we've had in a while. She has had both pear and baby rice before but I just have this feeling about the rice. Has anyone else experienced this? if so what do you use for breakfast- I had bought some of the plum 4 grain but…See More
