Everyone thought I was mad too- including relatives and friends, so it took us ages to get a referral to the paed as they referred ME to the psychiatrist first! (In the end I DID have a nervous breakdown as everyone was ignoring my concerns and I'm currently on treatment for anxiety and panick attacks. Not many people understand what feeding a baby with oral aversion is like)
Alexandra's got silent reflux so it made it more difficult to get a diagnosis. Anyway, she was put on domperidone, ranitidine and gaviscon with no luck. She was in pain most part of the day and developed an oral aversion so ended up in hospital to be fed through a nasogastric tube. The only medication that really made a difference was the omeprazole that she's still taking at the highest dose for her weight (20 mgr). Has Shoshana been on omeprazole? It normally works pretty well and in some cases can be given in combination with the ranitidine.
I can see she's been taken off the soya, so they suspect she's got a dairy allergy or intolerance? My little girl is on Neocate which is hypoallergenic and very easy to digest. They have Neocate Junior for babies from 12 moths onwards and some flavouring sachets that can be added to make it more pleasant to drink- have they considered this?
Glad to hear the thick'n'easy is helping. As I said yesterday I'll keep in touch abouth the team to deal with her aversion.
Take care

Oh you poor thing, I completely understand about the panic attacks.
She was put on Omperazole last year, but wouldn't take the tablets so we had get it liquidized and she would take it properly, we gave it to her when she was asleep! She has been put on Neocate but of course wont drink it. When she did have gaviscon, i thought it just shot the vomit further. The hospital wanted us to make a food diary of last week, which consisited of half a grape, I/4 of a sandwich(a banquet), she drinks the thick n easy but only with juice. Ok she is not eating, maybe i should just be grateful she is not being sick. Since she has been born, we have not really been anywhere because of the Projectile vomiting! I would get so embarrased, Shoshana goes to creche in the school where i work, and they are completely fed up, she wont evn sit in the high chair! She was given calorie sachets but won't drink them. It would really bug me , when my close friend said her baby has reflux, i thought "Lady you got no idea!" her babe did not have reflux just normal posseting. I think people thought i was mad, because i had Shoshana from IVF and they thought I was extra paranoid. We have been seen by 7 paed, it has cost a bomb, we have been everywhere even GOS. At one point they put Ph probe in and said oh she doesn't relux!
Sorry just felt like getting it all off my chest!
good luck
xx
