Hi all I am starting a new reflux support group (not an online one, so not opposed to this fab, fab forum - in fact will be highly recommending it to those who come and haven't heard of Little Refluxers!)   Below is what is on my flyer, so…

My 7 week old has just been diagnosed with silent reflux. Is a huge relief to be able to get him to eat again without screaming. :-)

Hi Lynsey

Just read your thread about Gavison .

For a baby under 10lb, the directions on the pack state you must give one sachet per every 4oz. This is hard to do if the 4oz bottle is never finished or you want to feed little and often. What we did was make up a 4oz bottle, mix it up and then split the feeds down to 2×2oz, keeping one and giving the other. Repeat until you use up the doses within the waking hours, if you can. Then when we had the same problem with the larger feeds where our daughter was moving up to two sachets, we did the same process for the higher quantity.

It is a hassle with extra bottles but at least you can feed the correct dosage and ensure that whatever goes into baby is correctly medicated for the amount they are taking at that time.
