My name is Lynda, I have a daughter age 2 and a baby boy age 16 weeks. While in hospital after having my little boy I kept telling the midwives and doctors that my baby was projectile vomiting. I wasn't taken seriously until one of the midwives took him to the nurses' station so that I could get some sleep. They fed him and saw him projectile vomit and they panicked, the phoned the on-call doctor who phoned the on-call Consultant who then made the decision to take my baby to the neo-natal unit.

They thought he had more of a stomach spasm and x-rayed him and got lots of different Consultants to look at him (we were living on a knife edge). Two weeks later he was discharged with a diagnosis of severe reflux, Domperidone, Ranitidine and Carobel.

He's doing well and it's just become a way of life for us. We should have seen the Consultant last week but missed it because of the snow (now 2/4/09). I'm just thinking about weaning him now and not sure where/how/if to start.
