Hi Lucy! He's a bit up and down, much better in the daytime and we've had a decent nap in the buggy every day this week, he'll stay asleep once we get home too which was unheard of until the last few weeks. Night-times variable, he was awful to get to sleep last night, up until 9pm, but then only woke twice in the night, other nights he's gone down ok then been up every hour or so. I think we are making gradual progress in the right direction and he is definitely a happier chap in the daytime. How's Ron? I'm following your discussion about candida with interest though I don't really think it's a factor for Mattie. Jen xx

Hey! I studied at Summerhall which is in Newington near the Meadows, but the vet school has now moved out to Easter Bush, south of Edinburgh. Loved it up there, would have stayed if I could have got a job straight out of Uni, but ended up in Lancashire which is near my family in Yorkshire, then moved to Brizzle 7 years ago when I got engaged to hubby. Bristol is a good place to be, though is you ask everyone says "it's so close to Cornwall/Devon/Wales/ the Cotswolds" like there is nothing here to recommend it! Let me know if you ever come down this direction, we;d be delighted to show you the sights. Jen xx

Hi Lucy - how are you and Ron doing? We've moved on to the next stage of the sleep training - I feel like we've sussed the bedtimes, and he is napping well in the buggy, so tackling the night waking. We're in a really bad pattern of waking frequently and feeding back to sleep so he is just snacking all night. He goes 4 hours in the day between feeds so I've decided to aim for 4 hours at night as well. He's such a little dot I'm not ready to drop night feeds altogether yet. So we're going for (approx) 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm, 3am and if he wakes during the night at other times hubby is in charge of cuddles and "the magic armpit". We've done three nights, first went surprisingly well, second was awful, last night ok again. Wish me luck for tonight. Jen xx
