Surgery or not???????

I have just recieved a letter from my dd paed and he is sending us to speak with a surgeon regarding fundoplication. I am feeling very scared and unsure and wanted to get some opinions. She is 2 and a half and has has reflux since birth.Has anyone elses child had this done or can anyone give me any info about the surgery the after effects etc. Any onfo at all would help.See More

DMSA Renal scan?????

Hi All,I know that this has absolutely nothing to do with Gastric Reflux but wanted to find out some info and could't think of a better way to ask as many parents as possible.Do any of you have any experience of DMSA scans? My DD bless her as well as having reflux is now suffering from recurring UTI's and they are doing a DMSA scan on Monday. Toddler Sleep Deprivation

Hi,My DD is 2 1/2 and was diagnosed with Reflux at a few months old. She currently takes Lanzoprazole, Ranitidine, Movicol and Domperidone. We also have issues surrounding her Kidneys with recurrent UTI's. All of this I can cope with (just). But does anyone have any suggestions regarding sleep. I am mum to Jessica who is now almost 1!! She was diagnosed with Reflux at 3 months old when she just stopped drinking her formula.

She has since been on ranitidine and domperidone and had her dosage upped twice. We were doing very well on this apart from her still not sleeping and seeming to have a constant cold.

We successfully weaned Jessica at 5 months and have moved along quite well with her development until recently when she started refusing food and bottles she gags and chokes on everything.

We have today been to see her paed and she has now been put on lanzaprazole. We start this tomorrow!!! Just hope this offers some relief.
