My son is 11 weeks today - he has been on it for couple of weeks now but im not sure of how i should give it? Do you give it via syringe or mix it with milk? Ive read conflicting things lol. Also do you give right before a feed or wait 30mins before feeding? He is still unsettled (we had a few good days after he started it but then he kind of relapsed - altho not as bad as he was)
We have been to hell and back too - think most of us here have been. his all started when he was 3 weeks - its terrible.
Are you finding the meds are working for your daughter now? x

I must say that it's so nice to finely meet a group of people who understand what I'm going through with my little Millay.

It's so easy to say your child have reflux - and give some meds and change milk. My LO has been on 9 different formulas before we found the Novalac AR Digest. It's got a thicking agent inside, therefore it seems like she keeps the milk down. When she was two months old she had very poor weight gain, but since she's been on this formula her weight has improved drastically.

We had some teste done in Saudi, first was a sonar to make sure all the organs is in place When that was all normal we did what they call the Baruim Study. They give your child a thick white liquid to drink and see how it moves down into the stomach. That showed nothing wrong but she still showed all the symptoms of reflux. Back here in South Africa I took het for a PH Metrie, they put a little tube through the nose for 34 hours, this measusares the amount of acidher stomach produces. Well, it showed she defenetly had reflux...now to find a medince thats working. I dont want to change her formula again...

Oh Lara! Pain again? (((Big hugs to you all!))) Did A&E help? Hope she's improving & you're having an "up" day today. Ben's ok really. Having some grumpy days but got 4 teeth trying to come through all at once bless him! He still regularly cries out in his sleep which is starting to upset me- just doesn't seem right for his reflux to still be disturbing his sleep when he'll be 1 on Thurs- I feel so sorry for him though he copes so well. Screamed house down last night but tbh think was his teeth x

Happy Christmas Lara! Hope Nicole is feeling better! Ben's doing well at mo tho just as well as on 20mg omep now. When (or should I say if) he ever gets over all these coughs/colds I hope to reduce him back to his official 14mg dose, but only if he stays happy like now! Fingers crossed nothing upsets him while we're away for Christmas. Take care & enjoy Christmas xx

Hope you had a great Christmas like we did! How cute that must've looked with Nicole exploring under the tree!! It is a shame Ben needs to be on 20mg of Omep but as I now have a happy little boy with barely any noticeable reflux symptoms then it's worth it esp as it's such a safe drug I'm assured by gastro paed & all. I hope he stays that way when I feel brave enough to try to reduce it down to his official 14mg dose. Another positive is he seems to be able to tolerate wheat at last! He's had snce just before Christmas with no wheezing just more frequent bad nappies (always bad anyway just more of them!). He's also been happy having his white choc buttons when others had choc as that still makes him sick so no more frustrated tantrums over foods he can't have...WooHooo! Just need his language to seriously improve now bless him.

Has Nicole got rid of her nasty cold or got some more teeth?
