"Thanks for your replies, it's good to get another opinion, really helps. Took her to the GP's who was very helpful said it was very likely to be reflux and put her straight on Ranitidine. Will just have to wait and see if it helps now.…"

Can Reflux start at 16 weeks?a

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be abe to offer an opinion on this. My lo is 17 weeks now. She was the perfect baby downing 7oz feeds every four hours until a week ago when she changed completely. She will now only take 3-4 oz before breaking off her feed and screaming until I can calm her off to sleep. She screams every time she is laid down and will only sleep in my arms. She is clearly in pain and has no other symptoms of illness. Can this be reflux starting at this stage? I have a two yr old…See More

Lactose Intolerant what Milk?

Hi my LO is nearly 12 months, severe silent reflux, all the usual meds, Ranitidine domperidone, gaviscon and Omeprazole. Diagnosed at 6 weeks and been on nutramigen formula since that time. With my older daughter I moved her on to cows milk at 12 months and just wondered if anyone had any advice about what to move my little one on to, is rice milk or soya milk best or should I keep her on the formula for longer? I know it's not directly a reflux question but so many of them have intolerances so…See More

"Hi there, I heard that opposite about Losec- that the suspension was more effective than the Mups. This was the opinion of a specialist in the RVH in Belfast, who dealt with a friend's baby's reflux. Maybe it differs from case to case? My…"

"Hi, I give my little boy Losec Mups and found the best way to give it to him is to dissolve the tablet in about 1ml of water in a small pot and mix in some yoghurt. That way you don't need to use a syringe. I tend leave the tablet in water to…"
