ranitidine is an acid suppressant, so reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. whereas omprezole is an acid blocker and stops the production. we didnt get on with omprezole. had ranitidine, domperidone and gaviscon. but in end most issues…

Hi, regarding ranitidine - remember that it is WEIGHT DEPENDENT so get your lo weighed regularly and ask the chemist to check the dosage against the weight. Also ppi's like omeprazole do take about a fortnight for them to build up in the…

Well so far one week on Omeprazole seems to be the answer to our prayers, hurrah!
The dose has been upped from 4mg to 8mg daily, which I have to make up with tablets and mix with cool boiled water, mmm!
