Hannah K replied to Aimee Allen's discussion 'Neocate and weaning advice needed please!'
Hi Aimee, How about mixing something more tasteful in? You could try some purreed carrot with the baby rice. That's what we started on and James took it well. Or you could try some plain purreed courgette. It's very easy digestable and…

Hi Sarah, I'm so sorry about the link to the article with the sodium. I didn't mean to scare monger I was just trying to explain why I personally made the decision to take my lo off Domperidone. So far there have only been 4 reported…

Hi Lara, We weaned our lo at 10 weeks. He loved his food right from the start. We started off with just a bit of Organix Baby Rice mixed with a little of his formula. At 12 weeks old we then moved on to a little carrot purree and then courgette…

Hi Emma, There was no improvement in the first two or three weeks. Even after that it wasn't like a lightbulb, but it was more gradual. The first three weeks were a nightmare. It's difficult to know whether James was screaming from…

Hi Lara, I know it is sooo difficult being a reflux mum. Ultimately you have to make your own mind up whether you want to give medication and whether the benefits outweigh the risks in each individual case. It was actually my paediatrician at the…

Hi Lara, That's great news. To be honest I never felt comfortable giving my son Domperidone as there is actually no medical evidence to prove it actually helps with reflux, only word of mouth and theory. Medical studies have not been able to…

Hannah K replied to Louise's discussion 'New here & thankful for this website!!'
Hi Lara, Allergy and intolerance are different things. Allergies involve the immune system whereas intolerances involve the digestive system. Therefore allergy tests would come up as negative if your child has a milk protein intolerance. The only…

Hannah K replied to Lara Hamilton's discussion 'Reflux babies, new meds & trapped wind'
Hi Lara, How old is your baby? You could try early weaning. Food is heavier in the stomach than milk, so they have less silent reflux into the oesophagus. We started weaning our son at 10 weeks and it really helped take the pressure off. Our son…

Hannah K replied to Lara Hamilton's discussion 'Domperidone - makes things better or worse?'
Hi Lara, Domperidone moves the food faster through the digestive system. This can cause stomach cramps if the doses are given too close together. Basically it boils down to this: Domperidone should be given 4 times a day. These doses should…

Do you have cot raised or sleeping wedge? If not could be acid rising causing discomfort & need to drink small amount of milk to sooth oesophagus.

Personally I'd return to weaning which I'm sure will help for better nights sleep as long as nothing acidic at tea. Porridge mild & filling. I couldn't do controlled crying with my 1st babe so now way I would try it with a refluxy…

I would say if your LO was "relaxed & content" on Neocate & "irritable & crying" on Cow & Gate that he most likely DOES have prob with dairy. The fact he started guzzling down lots more milk on cow & gate…
