I know it is sooo difficult being a reflux mum. Ultimately you have to make your own mind up whether you want to give medication and whether the benefits outweigh the risks in each individual case.

Allergy and intolerance are different things. Allergies involve the immune system whereas intolerances involve the digestive system. Therefore allergy tests would come up as negative if your child has a milk protein intolerance.

Domperidone moves the food faster through the digestive system. This can cause stomach cramps if the doses are given too close together.

That's great James is off his meds now & seems to have improved.
Good luck with reintroducing milk products.Hope it goes well. It'll make his life (& yours!) easier if he learns to tolerate it.

Thank you for your posts. James has been on Neocate for over two months now and looking back it has been a real success. I sometimes wonder how we managed to get through the first 4 months of his life!!!

Do you have cot raised or sleeping wedge? If not could be acid rising causing discomfort & need to drink small amount of milk to sooth oesophagus.

Personally I'd return to weaning which I'm sure will help for better nights sleep as long as nothing acidic at tea. Porridge mild & filling.

I would say if your LO was "relaxed & content" on Neocate & "irritable & crying" on Cow & Gate that he most likely DOES have prob with dairy.
The fact he started guzzling down lots more milk on cow & gate…
