"How awful for you! My LO is a terrible sleeper but we Discovered he was intolerant to milk, wheat, eggs, nuts and rice and are sticking to low allergen foods for weaning and doing it very slowly. When he's not teething or ill be can go two -…"

"Hi Clare, have you considered other possible intolerances? When my LO reacts to a food it always presents itself in horrible, aggressive burps which go on all day. They interupt sleep and affect feeding. When I take away the food it all calms down…"

What else can we try??

My LO is nearly 10 months, he's on neocate, carobel and 20mg omeprazole. We have previously tried gaviscon, domperidone and ranitdine. Our main problem is burping he burps constantly and the last couple of weeks things are getting worse. He needs to burp after only a few spoonfuls of food so crys and won't eat again until he can burp which usually means getting him out the highchair and bouncing him a little. Sometimes he will eat again after about 10 mins. He's now the same drinking milk. He…See More

"My LO sounds like your Clare. He can burp very easily himself (HV even commented on it) but then he'll need to do another one and he could be in his cot fir half an hr, cry, pick him up and he does another one. Is it unfortunately just slow…"

"Well once he's sat up he usually brings it up eventually himself but if he can't get one up we try everything. It's not such a problem that he can't burp as always does in the end the problem is that as soon as he gas he needs to…"

"What winding technique do you currently use, Claire? My daughter is 'windy' so I completely empathise with your frustration, but we found various different positions and techniques helped her bring up a burp. Happy to share if required xx"

"Thanks but he is on dr browns bottles and have been told if he's still burping 4 hours after a feed it's unlikely to be air sucked in. He's took hour and half to go to sleep so far as needing to burp nearly gave gripe water but…"

"burping is related to indigestion. inability to digest = intolerance. What milk is he on? might be worth trialing neocate or nutramigen AA if you are not already to exclude cows milk protein for a while to see if that makes an improvement. Have you…"

It doesn't seem to matter how much long ago he's fed he constantly burps! He's on 20mg omeprazole, sometimes gavisvon and stopped domperidone. What else could I do to help…See More
