Bugs seem to affect everyone differently. We all have one at the moment, brought home from the hospital (joy) and Lola threw up several times, then had some diarrhea, and now has loose mucous poo and zero appitite. Me and hubby have not been sick…

Hi B, seeing as you've all had it I would think it's just the bug. Everyone will get slightly different symptoms to the same bug. My dh and I had a tummy bug few months ago, god knows where from as Harry never caught it. We were both so…

Hi all my Daughter is now 3 years old, been a silent refluxer since she was 5 wks old.Celiac and cmpi. still on meds but not alot 2ml liquid gaviscon advanced and 10mg Omeprozole.Early hours of sunday morning she began to be sick, and this continued for hours. Stopping through the day and her becoming fine, running round and playing all day, to then be sick again around 9pm. I started to wonder could this be the start of a needed increase in the Omeprozole... but to my pleasure (if I can call…See More

Hi Belinda,
Really pleased you would like to meet. As you will see from my other post, I have an older son (with a broken arm!) and he is on his half term at the mo, so it would probbaly be better to meet up once he is back at school. I will have a think about where and when and be in touch!
Thanks and best wishes,
Joy

Hi Belinda, of course i don't mind you emailing - it's terrible how many babies and children suffer from reflux but no i haven't found a reflux group nearby - although i have met two other mom's at a breastfeeding support group i go to who have severe reflux also and one other mom at another group that i went to once, it's so much more common than i'd thought. It was a godsend when I found this site as I self diagnosed Daniel, he's my first baby (and last!) and after watching my baby in pain and no sleep for weeks, our doctor told us that he was a normal baby! My mom had never seen anything like it and me and my partner were at breaking point! How old is your little girl and how is her reflux?

Hi Belinda, Of course you can email me directly. I am on gsurtees@talk21.com I hardly ever look at this site any more as we are quite a way down the line (Stella is nearly two and a half). She is doing well but intolerant to dairy, wheat, gluten and soy. She has behavioural issues around food, but is now hungry and eats a good lunch and dinner (albeit the same thing every day!) Lots of meat, potatoes, veg and fruit, and sometimes fish in the evenings. She does not really eat any breakfast still. She is on Omeprazole, Ranitidine and Ketotifen, plus calogen fat in her rice milk. She is now on the 30th percentile for both height and wieght. Amazing if I think what she was like a year ago. The fist two years nothing short of horrendous. My son is nearly four and is also intolerant to the same foods. Actually he now has more behavioural issues around food than Stella and is being a compelte nightmare at the moment. We have been referred to a psych as he starves himselves and refuses to eat. HeI am feeling rather low about it all, can't think it will ever get any earier!

I have lots of advice on food, drugs and doctors. Dr Shah the only doc who knows what he is talking about and well worth seeing him.

Do contact me off site

Hi B.
How are things with you? I saw your post on DLA, sorry I don't have any advice.
I saw that Paige is 29mths now and you maybe considering an op for her.  Harry is nearly 27mths and no one has mentioned an operation to us, thankfully! He is still dairy free and on 10mg omeprazole with no symptoms of reflux.
Can you tell me what,if any, symptoms Paige has and what meds she is still taking?
Why have they suggested an operation? Sorry to ask you lots of questions, but I'm a bit scared of them saying H may need one too!
Thanks alot

Thanks so much for reply :)
I'm scared of dr saying he needs an op tbh. Was just wondering what the grounds for an op were.
Thanks Hun, I'm rushing now, sorry.
