Hi Alicea, I would get as far away from Babu as possible. He is so so bad. Ask for an urgent referral to Dr Charlie Charlton or Dr Sian Kirkham at QMC in Nottingham. It's a fair way to travel but they are much better. Dr Kirkham is a bit slow at doing anything but after a year of reflux, we have finally got a surgery date (22nd Jan). We now live in Oxfordshire so we have to travel much much further than Sleaford but it's worth it to have the better care. What has Babu done so far? He's such an idiot! Jen x

Oh Alicea I really feel for you. This is terrible. I can really really empathise with you. Dr Babu is such an idiot. Just be so careful around him. I would push push push for a referral to QMC. I'm glad you got to see another Dr whilst in Lincoln, it is like a 3rd world hospital when you have been there a while they do just forget about you. I have spent about 2 months in total with Callum as an inpatient so I know what you mean. Please let me know how you get on, my heart goes out to you. (the medicine begining with R is probably ranitidine). Jen xxx

Hi Alicia, I'm so glad you are going to see a proper doctor! I know tests are horrible to endure but I would push for a PH and impedence study. QMC is one of only 5 hospitals in the UK which offers this and it's well worth it. Mention it to him and I think the results would be surprising! Callum has had 2 done there. We have been in and out of hospital a few times too, both with Callum and our newest addition and refluxer Faye! She's 3.5 months and she has reflux too. We are under Dr Eltumi at the Portland hospital (private treatment) and he put her on Omeprazole pretty much straight away. She's started having blue episodes too now so I know what you are going through. I'm waiting on the her Dr getting back to me. Please let me know how you get on with Charlie, he's a lovely irish Dr and the head of the gastro team at QMC. Jen xxx

Hi I live round the corner from Lincoln hospital archie stayed a couple of nights when he was 7 weeks old to see what his problems were, we were sent home feeling pretty stupid and they told me he was just a sickly baby however i still continued to tell my doctor i was unhappy and eventually we went to Dr Clements at Newark hospital who told us he had reflux, a floppy laryix and a blocked artery to his heart which may be blocking his throat. He had to go to licester and Mansfield for all sorts of tests they offered us to go back to Lincoln for these which i refused even though i could walk it slowly in 5 minutes. I know Dr clements works at QMC and she is really lovely and i could ring her at anytime to talk about Archie, she would ring me late on a friday night with his results so we didnt have to wait all weekend worring i dont think i would have got this at lincoln. Eventually the reflux stopped and after many tests it was confirmed Archie had a heart mumer but nothing to worry about however he does still have breathing problems he is very loud and heavy we now go and see a ear nose and throat specialist at newark and the next stage is a camera down his throat. But we he is a heathly anfd happy little boy and i cant believe we went threw 18 months of hell.
