Thank you so much for your message. Whenever I read anyone's comments about their own children with reflux I just seem to keep saying to myself "oh yes that's like Taryn" or "oh yes I've been there" so as much as it isn't nice for our babies to be going through this it is comforting to know other people have the same worries (and headaches!).
Taryn had a better night last night. She is still being fed in the night because she is always so hungry but last night I watered her feed right down so it was virtually water. I am trying to get her off her night time bottle as it is this that seems to trigger the sick. She still arches her back, screams in pain, and as she is that little bit older she throws amazing tantrums! I remember the early days and Taz was the same - she wouldn't settle until after 10.30pm.
I know how you feel about everyone looking. I hated going out. I got so upset seeing all those lovely babies resting in parent's arms gazing around and gently falling asleep whereas mine was kicking and screaming and pushing away from me as though I had done something really horrid to her. It made me feel a failure as a mother.
I am only in Northwich so it would be lovely to meet up with other people to chat about the problems we are all experiencing. I work usually have Wednesdays free and we often go to our local playbarn so that might be a nice place to meet as my son can go off and play.
Take care and thinking of you. One thing I can recommend is a baby sling - Taz went everywhere in it and it really settled her. I even put her in it at night whilst making tea and working on my PC!!!
Take care
Ali
