LittleRefluxers

I joined this site yesterday and have found it really useful. However, I am still breastfeeding and will continue to do so for as long as possible. William is 5 months old and always been very greedy. After speaking to my HV I decided to try him with solids a couple of weeks ago.

This is going well so far. Reading through the info it suggests that solids should be given after milk so it weighs the milk down. If I did this I would never get him onto solids as he would pig out on breastmilk first. I have been given some more gaviscon as we had a scary experience on saturday. He had a bit of porridge for the first time for breakfast, he'd been having solids for lunch and tea up til then.

We were on our way out in the car and I ended up calling an ambulance as he started to cry really strangely and seem to have difficulties breathing. After spending many hours in the hospital waiting to see people, they said it could have been down to reflux. He was fine about an hour later!

Has anyone else got this problem or had experience with this?
