LittleRefluxers

Hi all!
Sometimes I feel really annoyed after speaking to a doctor. We took our little one to the doctor last week to get another prescription - as we had been given enough ranatidine for just one week. it felt as if we were exaggerating and why were we wasting his time??? grrrr..... I don't like the way we have been fobbed off by the doctor with ranatidine. Jesus - dont they think we actually check what the damed drug is?!! What infuriated me even more was the dr ringing up the paed to find out what to give and the paed saying that our little boy will be clear of it by 9mths. I was disgusted! How dare he say that without even looking at my little boy.

I really dont find the doctors are of any help. And to be honest I'm getting fed up with the whole "babies are sick" - no really?????

My husband and I decided that we arent going to be fobbed off - so we've stopped the ranatidine (the side effect of exploding nappies every 10 mins wasnt very pleasant!) and we are going cold turkey. Hopefully the goal is to build little one up slowly and see how he gets on. I'd rather deal with the puke rather than the nappies. Little one was getting so many baths each day and it's a lot easier to get puke out of clothes.
Has anyone had bad (or good) dealings with doctors?
