Hi I am Lorraine and live in Bolton, my DS has reflux :(
He is now 6 months old and we have started weening but I am finding it quite difficult as I am sure he has allergies too... he wheezes quite badley and the doc has said he has Asthma although I don't believe him. I think it is connected to his reflux. Anyone else have this problem? Look forward to chatting. x

Hi Steph,
Well I took DS to see the peadiatric nurse on Monday at Farnworth clinic. She specialises in wheezy babies and babies with other such ailments. She was lovely. We were in there for 45 minutes, she listen to everything I said and examined ds, listened to his chest and checked the oxygen levels in his body (which were 100) which she said was perfect. She then said she thought he had bronchiolitis!!! So nothing to do with his reflux. The coughand wheeze can last for up to 2 months and I presume this is what is wrong with my DS. She has advised I use the inhaler 4 puffs 4 times a day then go down to 2 puffs for 2 days then stop and see if there is an improvement. We started this on Monday and as of tonight there has been now improvement. In fact I would say his cough seems to have got worse! Maybe it is supposed to do that before it gets better?? Anyway we are back at the clinic again on Monday so will see what happens then. Thanks for asking Steph... how are you doing? xx

Hiya,
I live in chorley and have a 6 month old little refluxer. He's always had reflux but it went up to a whole other level after antibiotics. Doctors seem to be as clueless as us, no medications work (Gaviscon, ranitidine, omeprazole). Are there any specialists that you guys have seen?
