LittleRefluxers

Hello

My daughter as been refusing her bottle at every daytime feed for the last 10 days. I have visited a number of other website and know that this can happen when children with reflux reach 4 months. As anyone else experienced this problem?.
She is getting better at taking the bottle, within the last day so I'm hoping this saga will end. Also she recently had her 4 monthly jabs which really upset her last time and bought on reflux attacks for 10 days.
I hoping to start weaning her when she is 5 and half months old but am worried that this will not be the answer, as anyone starting weaning yet?.

Hi there, I don't think I have seen this post before so sorry for delay! I haven't any experience of this but hope it has improved since you posted this message? Not great about the jabs, but my daughter had her 2 month jabs yesterday and refused to eat for 20 hours and just screamed like never before, it was awful. She is slowly getting over this!

I think the weaning is different with each child. Our consultant with my son recommended weaning at 4 months. I tried at 4 months but he wasn't interested and tried again 2 weeks later and he took to it really well and think it did help the reflux. I have heard other people say it made the reflux worse though so who knows? My son had silent reflux but maybe if he had have been sick with it that would have made it worse?

Hope it gets better for you soon
Hiya,
just reading your reply about Daisy and noticed your son had silent reflux, is this where they are not sick??
would you be able to give any advise pls, my little boy is 7 wks and just cry's all the time in pain, after feeding between 1/2 hr to an hr , thats it..screaming!!!!...........sometimes we cant even comfort him...............its so heart breaking to watch, and me and my hubby feel so helpless............Im a Mum to 2 other boys and they never had anything like this..................its all very new and frightning to us.
Hi

I hope your daughter is much better now, I really have to hold my breath when I feed Daisy and stop myself crying sometimes, she is so much pain.
Thankfully Daisy will not be having no more jabs until she is over a year and I have already decided that she will not have the MMR jab.
Daisy does not have silent reflux so I am forever washing clothes and bibs!, however I hope weaning will be successfull and been getting advice from an amercian website, 'living with reflux' which parents update and leave tips.
