LittleRefluxers

HI there.
Mum of baby Zac who is just 10 + weeks old. Bad reflux, tried Gaviscon, then 1.1ml of Ranitadine, now on 1.6ml! and really don't know if any of this makes a difference! I feel as if I am getting paranoid in that going out for a walk in the pram (Which is sloped) and now even the sling seem to exasperate his vomiting and acid. Are these just coincidences or has anyone else's little ones been worse after any journeys or activity that i am presuming is jiggling his stomach! At the moment I am almost too scared to move him!

Hi thanks for reply, was starting to notice that after going out in pram ...next day would be horrendous and had people telling me it must just be coincidence! Makes me listen to my gut reactions with more belief.

Hi there - I hate infant gaviscon - have you tried carobel - its natural and really weighs down the milk - if you are breastfeeding try what I did with my little girl and BF the first ]art of the feed and then top up with formula (HIPP) mixed with carobel - teamed with Omeprazole she is a diffesrent baby. good luck. PS yes keep them still until you find something that helps - heartburn is agony! cheers
Hi Shona thanks for reply. Where do you get carobel from?
sorry for the dealy - only just got your reply, we had it prescribed from the doc, its by cow and gate your chemist can get it for you. Our daughter is a smiley happy baby now on Omeprazole and carobel - no looking back! good luck!
Thank you for response.
My mum keeps asking me if we have been out today etc and I keep trying to tell her that i think most activity makes it worse!!!!! Good to know i am not imagining it. I now put him in his bouncy chair ..but wedge it so he can't bounce!!!!! How cruel does that seem especially as he loves making it move!

Hi

Sorry for lateness of my message but I prop my daughter up in her pram using a pillow/cushion. Once she falls asleep I then remove the pillow and lie her down. I am sure that the HV and doctor would tell me off as probably bad for her back but if I don't prop her up she cries in the pram and she hates being in the car seat for long periods of time. I also find the babybjorn a real help - my daughter really likes to be in it. This is because the only way to stop her screaming is to hold her upright with her back to my tummy so that she is facing out - so babybjorn does the same thing.
