Hi
does anyone know if teetha powders also contain lactose? I have lots left over from my first daughter but if they do am assuming I can't give to my lo with cmpi? Are there any alternatives?
Thx

Hi pippa, yes ashton and parsons, also the nelsons teetha powders contain lactose. I made that silly mistake with my lo and he suffered with it. There is a powder that doesn't contain any lactose, one of the mummies know the name of it. Also amber teething necklaces or anklets are really good. My son is cutting his first front bottom teeth with no trouble at all. You buy them from amber pumpkin online.

Hi Pippa - yes the Boots own ones also contain lactose.  However, lactose is different from cows milk protein so if your LO has cmpi then lactose should not present a problem.  Lactose is the sugar contained in cows milk and the protein is the protein so they are two different things.

Just a query - my LO is CMPI but paed advised we avoid all dairy until 1 yr when we slowly introduce so I've avoided any teething powders. Thought CMPI babies on hydrolysed or amino acid formula followed that? X
My lo had a lactose intolerance test done which come bak positive, that was before we found out he is CMPA. However in all the advice leaflets etc that the allergy nurse gave us it says to avoid all things containing lactose. That's in a part which stated what to avoid so whey, casein etc.

Suppose you wouldn't know if the teething powders upset your lo unless you try x
Thanks Verity. I'm not willing to risk it!!! X
Welda teething granules don't contain lactose , I buy mine from amazon and they last ages xx

Hi,

Try Anbesol liquid you can buy it from boots, it works great =) xxx

yes we use Anbesol liquid & never had any problems, works great!

Love ambesol liquid uses it for all of mine Rylee had a bad nappy the first time I gave it but never after
You can just use homeopathic camomilla. One of the little tabs in water then they sip it (what's in teething powders) anbesol great too, I agree :)
