Surgery or not???????
I have just recieved a letter from my dd paed and he is sending us to speak with a surgeon regarding fundoplication. I am feeling very scared and unsure and wanted to get some opinions. She is 2 and a half and has has reflux since birth.
Has anyone elses child had this done or can anyone give me any info about the surgery the after effects etc. Any onfo at all would help.

Hi,
Sorry I have no knowledge of fundo, but if there is no one on here with experience you may want to have a look at another website. I noticed that www.living-with-reflux has a fundo forum,. I'm sure they would be willing to help. Such a difficult decisionn for you, hope you find some help to clarify your thoughts.

hi hun, my dd abbie is 27 month and she had the fundo on the 1st october, it was the best thing we have done, since she ahd it she ahs been sick 5 times and has not had any reflux for the last 2 weeks,
i recomend that if they will do it open surgry cause there is less chance of the side effects with open surgry,
