LittleRefluxers

Am a newbie and a genuine person I promise. Just don't like giving too much info on public sites! Struggling with my little refluxers at mo and wondered if anyone can recommend any private gastro peads in Cheshire or north west! Thanks x

Sorry that is one refluxer not two! Take my hat off to anyone who has twin refluxers!!

Private gastros are hard to find in the Wirral/Merseyside area. I know Alderhey in Liverpool do private sessions, and Im sure that you may have to go to Chester to see them as they work out of both hospitals. There is a secretary to the gastros who is based in Chester and can arrange private sessions. Her name is Jo and her number is 01244 677985. I was going to go myself, but our normal Paed finally diagnosed my LO with CMPI, so no need for me to go as Im getting her sorted. I know Manchester are supposed to have some good ones, Im not sure where, but some of the ladies on here may well know.

Good luck x

dr andrew fagbemi from manchester childrens does private consultations at the alexandra cheadle and although we haven't gone private yet a few people have recommended him to us and i have looked in to costs initial consultation is £230 x
Thank you lovely ladies! I have started progressing the alder hey option as Chester would be quite handy. The secretary was a lovely lady! I will pop back on soon and tell out story to date x
You are wonderful Alison c!! Thanks for your recommendation.  Had private app with Marcus Auth today and it's first time we have really been listened to. He was fab!  We now have an action plan and already feel so much better! We are lucky and have private medical insurance but would have sacrificed lots of things to be able to pay for today:-) thank you to slovenly lady called Helen with Charlie who recommended this site as well!  Off to chill but will keep you updated xxx
Helen - that should of course say lovely:-) stupid iPhone!!!

Arghh thank you. Its lovely to hear that you've got an action plan and are getting things sorted. I really hope things work out for you and your little one starts to feel better soon. Its very distressing watching them in pain all the time and feeling helpless, especially when medical professionals dont have a clue and you carry on for months not getting anywhere. My LO is getting much better and is starting to outgrow the reflux and CMPI, we have shaky days, but the good far outways the hell that we used to have. Best of luck and big hugs, keep us updated xxx
