LittleRefluxers

Hi

We have been giving Jack Nalcrom for 2 weeks now, it seems not to have made much difference...has anyone else had experience of this?

Also we have just started the montleukast, has anyone taken this before, struggling on how to get it into him....cant mix it in to his food as he has his omeprazole and nalcrom in his pudding at teatime.

Thanxs xxxxxxxxxxx

Don't know if this helps, but nalcrom is supposed to be given 30-60 minutes before food. We find that this makes an enormous difference. It also needs to be given before every meal.
Made no difference to Douglas, in fact made him worse. Have heard some people say it helped but I think it gets mixed reviews. My own gastro doesn't believe it's often helpful; however he did say that if it was to work at all we'd need to give it 4-6 weeks so i would give it longer unless you think it's definitely making things worse. Not tried montelukast do can't help with that but know a friend said she sprinkles it on food. X
Sorry, that sounds a bit curt and negative. My battery was running out. All these drugs are trial and error and what works for one doesn't always work for another. I think you probably have to work your way through them until you find the one that works for your child - I hope! But I would definitely give Nalcrom longer to work as I know I've been told that it takes a while if it's going to have any effect. Hope it does. X
