LittleRefluxers

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind me asking this - it's not an immediate concern, more for future. My LO is 5 mnths and in the not too distant future I'd like to think about a sibling for him (must admit, the thought of a 2nd little refluxer is pretty scary and not sure what the chances are of 2nd baby having reflux?!!)

Anyway, my query is - I guess it would make sense to be dairy free during pregnancy if I wanted to breastfeed. Do you know how long I should be dairy free for - the whole pregnancy, or maybe just the last month, for example?

Are there any ladies that have formula fed and gone straight onto a hydrolysed formula due to high possibility of 2nd LO being CMPI? X

i am a firm believer that the problem is genetic, i really don't think anti b's make any difference, my kids both displayed strong symptoms from 10 days old, one had breast and i had anti b's, the other had neocate and iv anti b's in his first 2 days of life (but he wasn't breathing properly so again a miracle of medicine that he is here). But in relaity i don't think this changes anything. X
You're probably right Sara B but makes sense with your family histories. Really doesn't with ours do hard not to look for another cause. Not much point really but hey ho. Hard not to think about it. X
I agree with Sarah B... I have 2 refluxers following 2 perfectly healthy pregnancies with zero antibiotics for anyone involved! I am also essentially dairy-free and always have been so except for the odd biscuit or chocolate, never really had cows milk during either pregnancy.
I cheerfully blame my husband's genetics, and likewise won't be having a third!
