Erm in a word no - my LO is about 13lb (6kg) and she is on the same with domperidon (although we give it only 3 times a day as I am not sure it does anything for her) and 1.25ml of ranitidine 3 times a day - my LO was on 0.5ml at 8lb

Sounds like you need a drastic increase in ranitidine to be honest

thats exactly what I thought, as a nurse myself I see no medical benefit to increasing domperidone when it is pain from acid that is the problem. I'll phone back tomorrow cause she is no better today after having the increased domperidone all day. She is due back at clinic on the 12th anyway.

hi my lo is 14lbs and i was told that ranitdine carnt be upped so i asked for omeprazole when i saw our pead i told him abouit this site and asked if she could try it as i read about it on here just a guide though at 9lbs Aaliyah was on 0.5mls and it was increased twice to 0.75ml to 1ml by 13lbs 4ozs.she is only on 2.5mls of domperidone now 4 times a day.hope this helps am abit forceful with the paed carnt help it i also managed to get some piriton for her congested nose which she always has so i dont need to take out shares in vick vapour rub anymore lol i sort of act like i know what am talking about by stuff i have read on here lol.good luck

not yet my paed was off yesterday so phoning back today, my poor wee one is back to refusing everything its a battle to get her to drink and with this heat i'm terrified she gets dehydrated. Discovered she will take ice poles, I imagine they soothe her throat, so she been getting these regularly. I can get her to take solids with much distraction with toys and silly faces from Daddy, so hey ho who needs sleep anyway!!!
I'm pretty sure if these Docs had their own babies with reflux they would soon get better at treating it!

Got her ranitidine doubled but it took some doing, all via secretary, was told to persevere over weekend to see if it improved then if no better to phone on tuesday and get an appointment to see him. I said just to book the appointment now as she is not getting any better if anything she is getting worse. I then asked her to book me a bed in the childrens ward as my wee one would be dehydrated by then. I was very polite to her. She asked what it was that i wanted and I told her ranitidine doubled, she phoned back 5 minutes later and said I've to do that and phone on tues for an appointment anyway for review.
