Hi, so sorry to hear of your little girl. Can I ask what milk is she on - ie normal formula or hypoallergenic one?

hi she is on cow and gate comfort
Hi Emma,

Really worried about you, think you should seek advise as soon as possible. Sounds like your little one is in a lot of distress and so maybe a&e is the right thing. I never took my boy but lots of Mums on this site have and would recommend it, always wished I had fought more for my son. Have you got any family who could come and help out, maybe look after your daughter so that you could catch up on some sleep. If you can find the right help then things will improve, once we saw the paed and our son was prescribed ranitidine things got so much better. Have you tried craniel therapy, we took my son and it definitely eased his symptoms. We also bought an amby hammock and my son's sleep improved immensely.

I really hope things improve for you, let us know how things go.

Just to say, we also found the Amby hammock was a Godsend, but sadly our nine and a half month daughter is just that little too big for it now.
Oh, I'm so sorry.

My daughter's silent reflux gets 10 times worse whenever she's ill and we've been through the all nighters this past week. It's soul destroying isn't it!

Take her to a & e, but if you don't get any joy there and then, we've discovered a few practical helps.

I know it's not an ideal solution, but after being up with my daughter crying until 5 in the morning, I got out her pram (which has a nice recline, but much steeper than I can sleep her safely in her cot) and shushed and walked her around the living room. Within 10 minutes she'd calmed down and fallen asleep.

I also find a bit of bonjela on the dummy really helps - I think it has a numbing effect on the throat and helps to ease the sore throat from the reflux. Sorry, if you've already tried these a million times!!!
Oh bless you. It all sounds so familiar. Take her to A&E when in the throws. I found C&G Comfort and Gaviscon caused constipation which made matters worse. I have finally had a breakthrough, and if I had had a crystal ball I would have: 1} found a specialist gastrontiologist at Gt Ormond St or Potland Hospital. 2} Avoided medication as this made situation worse. 3} Cranial Osteopathy. 4} Believed severity of situation and fought for support! You have other children and therefore know your stuff! Be strong and don't be fobbed off!

Please contact me if I can help in anyway.
