Permalink Reply by Jenny Rawling on February 22, 2012 at 13:10 I think Calpol upsets a lot of babies - it doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be MFPI so don't panic. My non-refluxer used to vomit violently if given calpol.
You can get liquid paracetamol without the colourings and flavourings from the chemist, but they may still have sugar/sweeteners in. Some people have been advised to give 1/4 of adult paracetamol tablet dissolved in water, but please speak to a pharmacist about it first.

Permalink Reply by Beth on February 22, 2012 at 14:11 Thanks Jen. I guess at least at the moment it's easier to identify what might cause a reaction whilst he's only on nutramigen AA. Although, I honestly never thought about the calpol as we've used it the odd time before and it's been fine but I guess we have used it a lot more over the last couple of weeks.
Does that mean it would be best not to give nurofen too? x
Permalink Reply by Jenny Rawling on February 22, 2012 at 14:13 I think it depends what he is reacting to - we use nurofen without any probs but I suspect it has similar sweeteners etc in.
