e-mail re making money via google - it's a scam
Hi all,
I haven't been on little refluxers for 6 months now as my son is 1 year and completely over his reflux. It was definitely much easier once he started solids - no more changes of clothes every few hours & crying etc.
Unfortunately I'm posting this as have received an e-mail from a supposed member of little refluxers suggesting I go to http://www.howimakeinternetmoney.com/ and sign up to make money from google. THIS IS A SCAM. I've done some brief research on the internet and it is not recommended. Apparently you just have to send $1.95 electronically and you can start making money via google. What they don't tell you is that in the small print you are signed up to have money debited from your account unless you cancel your subscription within a short period of time.
Sorry this isn't reflux related - but I thought I'd better warn all as the e-mail came from this site.

hi rachel,
i too haven't been on here for a long time as my daughter doesn't suffer with reflux as much now.
i came on here to check out who this jen thomas was, who had sent me an email from this website telling me to go on the same site as you've noted, to make money on the internet. im always wary of money making that seems easy, so i came to check and funnily enough she doesn't exsist! lol glad i checked, and thanks to you for posting it to make others aware!

I got this email too - can this person have their account suspended or something - its hardly the use of a refluxers support forum is it??

Hi , thanks for the info...I too received the same email. Its a little scarey to think these scammers have such easy access to our email. Hope we can all keep our wits about us and watch out for simular things poping up. Thanks again. JO x

Hi all...yes we had a rogue member join up and send messages to a number of members. Apologies to all who received it.
The member was banned instantly.
From time to timer we do have 'spammers' join and send unsolicited messages. Fortunately we manage to intercept them before they cause too many hassles. The problem with running an open and trusting environment is that it can be abused occasionally by a small minority.
