DMSA Renal scan?????
Hi All,
I know that this has absolutely nothing to do with Gastric Reflux but wanted to find out some info and could't think of a better way to ask as many parents as possible.
Do any of you have any experience of DMSA scans? My DD bless her as well as having reflux is now suffering from recurring UTI's and they are doing a DMSA scan on Monday. I am so nervous about this and wondered if aqnyone had any experiences.

HI ya,
Yes my daughter had one of those as she has always had a lot of UTI's and had a suspected dilated renal pelvis when born. I can't quite remember her agewhen she had the DMSA scan , about 10 months I think. She was so good, they popped a little catheter in her bladder, and squeezed the fluid in, she didn't even cry until they put all the fluid in then she obviously felt uncomfortable and cried a little. They scanned her bladder, then she peed and that was that! very quick and no problem at all.
