LittleRefluxers

hi, i have a almost 11 week old baby and he has had reflux from birth. he is on nutramigen milk, thick & easy (1 scup in 100ml of milk), ranitidine (1ml 3 times a day) and domperidone (1.6ml 4 times a day).
i have found that his nappie are a dark green and very runny and he has always been very sick but now he is birnging up a lot of yellow bile this has only started since he has been taken off gaviscon and put on the thick & easy.
i was wondering if any one else has found this or could give me some advise
thanks millie (mitchell's mum) x

I just read your post after I posted mine, my wee one Archie has been bringing up some liquid recently as well, his is clear though. It started about a week after we stopped the Gaviscon and started Omeprazole, though not sure if any of this is related. I'm also looking for answers so sorry but can't b much help.
Angus and Archie are both on nutramigen AA which seems to cause green poo, it says this on my tin label. They had explosive soft greenish yellow poo with bloody streaked mucous before starting nutramigen and for quite a while after, it is now a darker shade of green and harder, but they are a bit constipated at the moment. The dietician and pead both told us that it takes at least 6 weeks till the milk protein is out their system. It took about 10 weeks for Angus's bowels to calm down from the inflamation caused by the allergy. Which nutamigen are you on, nutramigen 1 or nutramigen AA? Nutramigen AA is more broken down and is better if you think your little one is still affected by the milk proteins, it is the same as neocate formula.

mitchell is on nutramigen 1
thank you for every thing you have said it has helped
and mitchell's sick has been clear but i have been told by my hv told me its the thick and easy cos its water based
Hi my little one has silent reflux so can't comment on the sick side of things but she has been on Domperidone, Ranitidine, Gaviscon and Nutramigen since 8 weeks and is now 5 months, she often has very runny green poos, I think the green is due to the Domperidone or Ranitidine don't know which and the fact that they are so loose I believe is a side effect of the milk. To be honest i've just never let it worry me as I've heard it's quite common and my paed said it's nothing to worry about. I just find that at 5 months she still poos about 6 times a day and we get through a lot of nappies! Hope someone else can help with the sick question!
Take care xxx
