cranial osteopath
Need some advice again please. I have taken my lo to a cranial osteopath as some mums swear by the fact it has almost cured their babies with reflux, so on a recommendation my lo has had 2 sessions so far with another 4 to have, each session costs $40 for half an hour. The problem is not the cost as I would pay millions to help my lo, but the problem is she screams and sobs through the whole session, now the lady tells me she is not hurting my lo atall and that it's just slightly uncomfortable! I just feel so awful taking my lo to something thst is clearly causing her to be upset but on the other hand it might work in the long run... what should I do?

Hi there
A crainial sacral session should not even be making your lo uncomfortable. I've had Nicole there probably around 9 times and the touch she uses on her is only a gentle touch, kind of like if you gently stroked your finger along your skin. It worked absolute wonders for Nicole, although only ever gave her relief for 36-48 hours, it wasn't a cure or long lasting.

My little one used to scream too. My osteopath used to say that everytime he'd see his name on the appointment sheet he'd feel like cancelling!!!! He really used to cause such a scene it was ridiculous. I have no idea why he reacted that way as the osteopath was barely touching him. I just stopped going as I don't think it did anything for him. We went to a lot of sessions as the osteopath made my pregnancy a breaze and I really believe in osteopathy but unfortunately my little boy didn't respond to it.
