Yes its a side effect of reflux and some reflux meds - I found that using domperidone with the ranitidine sorted it out for me - how old is your LO as you can also give an oz of brown sugar water and that will sort it out in a few minutes

Thanks Victoria - I kept trying to change his diet and just couldn't work it out. Kind of feel happier now I know there's not much I can do about it!

He has just turned 1. I hadn't heard of the sugar in water thing - how old does he have to be? I prefer that to movicol for 6 months!

You can use sugar water from birth hun - my HV recommended it - obv need to be careful if they have teeth but it should work - I have tried prune juice but its an aquired taste and my LO would not take it

My lo has constipation due to SMA Staydown. My health visitor told me to put one teaspoon of prune juice into 2oz of cooled boiled water. I give it to my dd once a day and it works wonderfully....
