coming off ranitidine

well we have just weaned amelia off of ranitidine! she is now 8 months old, been on nutramigen since about 5 months which made the world of difference. we were able to stop the domperidone before xmas and we were playing around with dairy foods. seem they make her reflux come back/worse so private paed thinks she is def dairy intolerant. waiting for nutrionist appt, but in meantime advised to try and reduce ranitidine and eventually gaviscon to see what happens. well .... we have had a few rounds of sickness. but not how she used to be. just wondering if anyone else has had experience of weaning off ranitidine? its so difficult to know if sickness due to teething or the fact she may have a sore throat (mines killing me!). it is just very scary facing the prospect of going through the worse times of reflux again, my heart sinks.
