LittleRefluxers

Hi everyone

My little girl is eleven months now and unfortunately having her first proper cold.  She has had little sniffles and things before but this is a bad bad one.

Once before when she had the sniffles, we tried using things like Karvol caps and I honestly think it sent her reflux mental.

Can anyone give me any tips on what I can do for her that won't send the reflux into full throttle again.  Bless her little heart, she's not long calmed down with reflux (still on lots of meds though) and I really don't want to send it off again, but she really is suffering with this cold

Thanks in advance

We use a Karvol plug in vaporiser in Harry's room.  Or a bowl of boiling water to humidify.

Not much else you can do...

Hope shes better soon x

Thanks for the response Clare, bless her, she looks like she's feeling mega sorry for herself xx

Hi Lara

Sorry to hear Nicole is poorly. We've just all had one too and it was really nasty. Poor Ryan did suffer with it but hes come out the other end now. I used the calpol nasal drops when he was really blocked and also loads of calpol.

Hope she's feeling better soon. just keep an eye on her and give loads of cuddles

Oh yeah, we also use the Nasosal nose drops (saline) which if you can get them in, really help!

Lara/ I think having a cold is enough to set the reflux off again on its own. When my liitle one gets snuffle, I norally run a VERY hot bath for her. Close all windows and doors in there and pop a little lavender oil in there, let the steam fill the room, and just sit in there with her for a little while. The steam and lavender seem to relax the body and help unblock the nose at least. When the water is at the right temp I give her a quick bath, again very relaxing. x
