Hi ladies,  I'm looking to buy some new bottles - currently use avent with the anti colic ring.  Are there any you'd recommend.

The colic solved book says it doesn't matter about the bottle as its all about wether you shake formula and create bubbles.  But I'd like a mum's opinion!

Oh and I need them to be compatible with an avent bottle warmer so I don't need to buy a new one! X

I use Mam anti coilic bottles and I love them never get bubbles in the milk as all the air goes out the bottom and so easy to clean which my mum loves

Never used them in a bottle warmer intact never used a bottle warmer with 3 kids I put rylees bottle with the 8 ozs of water in the microwave for 30 seconds or stand it in a jug of hot water
Hi, I used dr browns bottles and that are brilliant. Although I have never used a bottle warmer.

We use mam anti colic and they are good. they do leak a bit but mam are sending us new ones . Sorry we don't use a bottle warmer.  Edel

I did use dr browns but had to buy new as they didn't do the vari flow teats , I bought tommee tippee ones and to be honest I was worried he would be worse with wind but it made no difference and now he will only have the tommee tippee ones , they fit the avent warmers as I've warmed them in ikea and they use them.
You have to make sure with dr browns not to heat with lids on or they leak , I went on their website and it tells you on there and also not to shake them which is difficult if your using gaviscon as sometimes it collects around the anti colic system. Good bottles though if your LO takes in a lot of air .
Xx
We used normal tommee tippee ones then swapped to dr browns and saw a really big change in how much wind he had. I had to buy a new set and we brought mam anti colic and there just as good I think. I tried him on normal bottles an at 9 months old he really struggled with the wind. Finley was a sicky refluxer and often he would burp then be sick so defo helped us!

Also way I see it now is why would you want your baby sucking in unnecessary air, so when we have another baby I'll buy anti colic bottles straight off.

Beth,
If you want some dr browns ones to try i have some 4oz ones which i don't need any more if they are are any use. Would be happy to post to you to try before you invest. They do fit in the avent bottle warmer. X
I don't shake the bottles, but find neocate dissolves really well in the water if you use it in the first 10 mins agter boiling the kettle. But i also plunge the bottles in to icy cold water, and store at the back of the fridge for up to 20 hrs. But am scrupulous about hygine. And we love dr brown, he would get a big kiss from us if we came across him!
Thank you Sara, that's so lovely of you to offer but I'm out at the mo and have just purchased Dr Browns. Do they fit the avent digital steamer (one with lid)? I wasn't cheeky enough to test in shop and actually, have realized that warmer is pretty pants so not the end of the world if doesn't fit. From reading this board a lot of mums dont seem to bother!
Sorry - that should say warmer not steamer!!!
i use the microwave with great care! But i am a shockingly poor mummy! I have one of the old round plug in steam sterilisers and i can fit 6 in that, packing it is a bit of an art, but you get used to it. My concession to dr browns is to have 2 full sets of them, so i can wash them in the diswasher. I picked some up bnib off ebay at a bargain price, money well spent.
Thanks Sara. We all work so hard with our LO's so always good to have some quick wins!! :-)
Hi, I use mam anti-colic and love them they are great. Used Dr browns for a while but they are quite fiddly I found and always splurged water at me when I was mixing the milk and water together. Went back to mam and never looked back. LO had less wind on MAM as well xxx
