Hi guys i have a 4 year old who we suspect suffered mild reflux and intolerance but was never dealt with, a 8 month old who suffers multiple intolerances and reflux and have just found out i have another on the way!! What are the chances of this one suffering intolerances and reflux and does it get worse?
Apparently reflux is hereditary and more common in boys than girls so I would say quite a chance as you have had two more of a chance if the baby is early or induced - congrats on the new bump and my fingers are crossed that you give birth naturally at 42 weeks!!!!!
i heared its more commom in boys too but both my girls have suffered 1st very mildy 2nd worse but you know its only i think 50/50 they will get it so theres 50% chance you will have a healthy baby and if it does have it remember knowledge is power you can get trearment quicker because you know the signs and will pick it up instantly then get the right meds to help plus another postive is by 1yr sometimes 18mnths most babys have grown out of reflux and intolerences i know you will worry but try to enjoy your pregnancy hopefully by time babe arrives your lo will of out grown the reflux i got really down when my lo was bad and i just tryed to think am still lucky in 12 to 18 mnths this will behind me and i will have my gorgeous lo some babes are born with life threating problems they have to live with forever i had to be postive cause i started feeling so low i was crying everyday over her you could also raise this with your hv before lo arrives so there on side to help if babe doses have it if there not that helpful you are fully entitled to ask for a different one good luck i will cross my fingers for you when new babe due.
