Hi,

Sorry probably wont be much help! but we have always used the avent bottles,
we are on the 9oz bottles now and Joseph seems to be ok on them, but then again we havnt tried any other so not sure if they work or not to be honest!! he has avent dummies as well, so that he stays with the same silicone teats..

Hopefully someone will be along in a minute who maybe able to give you some suggestions!
what bottles have you tried?
Hi
Fraya was using Tommee Tippee bottles for about 10 weeks and used to scream and back arch and get terrible wind until we changed to Dr Brown bottles and then she was alot happier and the screaming and back arching stopped as she was hardly getting wind.
Hi Iv used avent with my daughter until she was 2 weeks old and have been useing doc browns since they are very good xx
thank you i have just brought boots own and he isnt eatin as much (although unsure wether thats because he just got over a tummy bug) and is archin back and screamin every bottle think when dp gets paid i will try the dc brown ones and see if they help
thanks again
laura
Hi

Unfortunately, you pay for what you get. Dr Browns are expensive bottles but they are worth it. It is a false economy to buy the cheap bottles (ie Boots own make) as, most likely, the baby will suffer from terrible wind.
Hope you get to try the Dr Brown bottles soon and hopefully you will see an improvement.
Hi Laura,
When my Daughter was diagnosed with reflux and had to stay in hospital for some time, they provided us with the milk and put NUK teats on their bottles. My Daughter seemed to feed better with these so when we came out I bought NUK bottles.
After being advised to also use Thick & Easy in her milk to thicken it up, these bottles/teats were much better with that too. I used to use Avnet but the holes in those teats weren't big enough for the thick milk. You can get NUK bottles on the internet. I think Boots sell the teats too.
Anyone that wants to know about Thick & Easy, ask to speak to a Dietician. They can only recommend it as I think it has to be prescribed. It has really helped my Daughter. It was a complete turn around once we staryed using this.
thanks girls i wanted to get the dr browns but didnt have enough money at the time i will get them pay day as everyone seems to suggest them had to get new bottles before then as the tommee tippee had gone a bit funny and since andrew had a tummy bug thought id start him on new bottles once he was over it you right you get what you pay for emma.
kate andrew is currently on gaviscon and enfamil milk is the thick and easy better as i have my first pead appointment thursday?
please ignore any spellin mistakes as between andrew wakin alot at night again and his 3 yr sister having night terrors and only wantin me i havnt had much sleep over the last week!!!
Hi Laura,

I don't know what Enfamil milk is but Thick & Easy isn't a milk, it's just a thickener to add to any milk to thicken it up. It helps because the milk is then thicker to swallow and hence does not run down the throat etc as fast and so does not cause as much pain.
I used this in my Daughter's milk which was called Infatrini. This is a high calorie milk so she didn't need to drink as much as she would have done if she had been on Formula. If she should have been having, for example, 8 ozs of Formula, she only had to have a 1/3 of that in Infatrini to be equivalent.
Abby also had Gaviscon in the early days and she is still on Domperidone and Ranitidine.
