My GP is the same. Useless.

Have you considered an intolerance to milk protien? Especially if he has dry skin. What are nappys like?!

I found the Domperidone to make things worse, not throwing up worse, as my LO dont really do that anymore, with thicker milk, but he would refuse bottles etc.

I know a few people that have stoped the Dp, and I have hurd that it dont work anyway... I dont know, and wouldnt like to pass any major comment as im not a Dr. But I cant see any harm in stopping it. I am stopping giving it to my LO at the end of this week, once iv established wether he has a CMP intolerance.

Can you see a different GP at your surgery? Thats what im going to try and do, as my GP makes me feel as tho im the biggestdrama queen in the world - im not btw.

Good Luck x
Hi Fiona.

Sorry to hear Harrison isn't doing so well. I don't know if I have already told you this, but my paed said that domp was not worth using as it wasn't proven to help with reflux in babies. We stopped it straight away, as he also said the side effects were worse than the benefits (although he said there were no benefits). He was the senior paed, and really seemed to know what he was talking about, and talked about research into this etc, so I just went with what he said.

Fraser has had a couple of sicky days, bringing up all of his feed, which he never used to do!! He has been ok so far today though!! It doesn't seem to bother him though, only me as I have to clean it all up!!!

Hope this helps a bit. Let me know what you decide to do.

Take care.

Hi
As you know, I stopped domeridone after 3 weeks (against the paed's advice) as it was making Fraya not want to eat! So, I think that you should decide what you think is best for your child despite what Paed/GP says as you know your child best and you are the one that has to look after them day in day out. If you think that being on the medication makes Harrison worse then there is no point being on it! That was my opinion. I am glad that I have stopped it. Fraya is a lot hungrier since.
