LittleRefluxers

My name is Zoe and we have a little boy, Isaac who has reflux. It was diagnosed at 3 weeks - he is now 13 weeks. He was on Gaviscon and Ranitidine and was doing OK but the last 3 weeks have been a nightmare as it has come back - silent reflux this time, rather than the projectile vomiting we had for the first few weeks of his life.
Anyway, quite by accident I came across this website which I found when I googled his symptoms 3 weeks ago. We seem to have spent a lot of time going back and forward to hospital and doctors, and finally he's been put on Domperidone as well - which has stopped the screaming fits happening so often - and he is starting to feed better - sometimes!! Anyway, this website has been a lifeline - we have found it so useful to know it is not just us suffering hours of watching our baby in pain and not being able to do anything about it and battling to get him to feed at all at times. So thank you to all of you who have shared your stories - knowing there are lots of us in the same boat has stopped me cracking up!!!!! I will stay in touch xx

Hi Zoe

I totally agree with you. This website has really kept me sane over the last few months!! I hope things start improving for you. It is so hard to enjoy this very special time with all the screaming and pain that our poor babies are having to suffer.

Hi Zoe i also agree with you about reading other stories helps to feel you are not alone in this battle. My daughter also called Zoe wasn't diagnosed until she was 11mths old due to the fact that she was putting on weight and thriving. She had a barium meal and was diagnosed she is on omeprazole and domperidone and gaviscon she is 15mths old now. Hopefully your son will be one of the lucky ones and grow out of it quickly (crossing fingers) as you don't want him suffering too long. Sharon x
Hello

it has helped me too and in a way now I ask the paed and GP with more confidence because this site made me understand the effect on the baby aside from the visible ones.
good luck with Isaax

I guess we need to say a big THANK YOU to who ever started this site
