Helo been advised to try sma staydown but am confused with the making up instructions, says to boil water cool and refridgerate then add the milk to the cold water and can then be brought up to room temperature, but at the moment i boil the water and leave at room temperature and just add the milk as i need to, this is so much easier and convinient when out - help

We used this and I was confused too to satrt with, so I phoned their helpline.

basically the milk won't thicken unless the water is cold, so unfortunatley it does need to go in the fridge. I was lucky in that ethan loves his milk so much he doesn't care what temparature it is. However I did stand the bottle of milk in a bowl of hot water to warm it up quickly for the bedtime bottle in the hope that filling his tummy with warm milk rather than cold woudl help him sleep - and it seemed to.

Hope this helps

Hi,
When we were using staydown, we used to put the boiled water into a days worth of bottles, stand the bottles in the washing up bowl with cold water, then put them all in the fridge. To make it a bit quicker to make the bottle up when your baby is screaming, I also used the powder dispensers. I would fill up the powder dispensers that you can get from mothercare, tesco's etc and then just tip it into the bottle, then warm it up. It makes it qiute a bit quicker when you've got a screaming baby!
