Teething and Reflux. !!!
Hi everyone, pls help..............im at my wits end at the moment with Harrisons reflux. His been sort of ok for a good while now with regular increases in his meds but on the whole not to bad. For about 2 weeks now Harrisons been teething and OMG his reflux is soooo bad.
All his doing is crying and screaming , his little tummy is making some very weird noises, and his hands are always in his mouth..Ive given him , teething gels, teething powders........ect....... even calpol a few times. the night times are just a complete nightmare. He wakes at least 5 times in the night and then wont settle back again, im sooo tired its getting me down, im snapping at my husband and my other child who's 6yrs.
His just not long had an increase in his meds on the 4/03/08 surely its not due to go up again.
Just feel very low at the moment, why is it that you think its all under control and then it comes back worse than ever.
Any tips for copping with the teething along side the reflux.

Hi Nikki,
I'm going through teething and an increase in reflux symptoms with my baby. There are a few things which I've found which help for a few minutes. When he's really screaming I take him outside for a minute or two. The cool air kind of shocks him into silence. This lasts for about 5 mins if he's really distressed, but can be enough to jolt him out of it altogether. I've got a tommee tippee teething dummy which is shaped like his gums. I keep it in the fridge and then apply teething gel on this and then let him attack it. A bath with the johnsons night time bubble bath in helps a little too. We've also used the night time calpol.
Sorry that there's nothing that's really ground breaking- you've probably tried all these already. If anyone else has any ideas, please share!

Oh sorry to hear about your little one as well hun, its sooo hard on them isnt it. I will try and get one off those teething dummies thou, its worth a try, also the calpol night time maybe an idea too.
